Dr. Bert G. Tavelli, M.D.
Dr. Tavelli hails originally from Colorado, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Colorado State University. He attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where he received his Medical Doctor degree, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. Following an internal medicine internship at the University of Colorado, he completed his residency in Dermatology at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland.
Dr. Tavelli is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also the former president of the Oregon Dermatology Society.
Dr. Tavelli is an attending physician in the Dermatology department at OHSU where he holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor, and also teaches residents at the Veterans Administration Medical Center as well as in his office. He has published peer reviewed journal articles, and is the primary author of several dermatologic chapters in both dermatology and general medicine textbooks.
Dr. Tavelli has been practicing dermatology in Portland for over 20 years. In addition to general medical, surgical, and laser dermatology, he is involved in clinical dermatology research and is a frequent public speaker on a variety of skin related subjects, both to his medical colleagues and the community.
